SJH is...

I've noticed a similarity in the way I decorate a house and the way that I scrapbook.

As I've mentioned before, we are in the middle of a move from Kentucky to Michigan and I get to have my entire house painted by a professional.  In the past, I've enjoyed painting it myself, but I think there is something to be said to having your entire house ready to go when you walk in the door.

We'll have the house for just over a month before the boys and I move in.  I've been working on paint colors and selecting the new furniture and appliances for it.  That's when I noticed the similarity...  I'm really not into delicate and ornate.  Give me some simple lines and sharp colors.

I think that is why this block style of scrapbooking comes so easy to me.  The page below was designed for Challenge #3 at Color Me Scrappy.  It came together very quickly.

Enjoy and please leave some love.

I too had to make a scrapbook in High school as a part of my soccer team... and haven't really stopped since. So glad I found you!! I found the challenge blog too. FUN!!

  2. I see those similarities in your house/scrappy style as well ... I think part of that comes from having boys and no girls! Boys usually don't enjoy 'frilly' or 'delicate'! Love this page, Lisa ... I can't believe how quickly he's growing up!!!
