Dreamy Destination

Oh how I struggled with this challenge.  I combined 2 challenges in one and I struggled with both the sketch and the inspiration.

The sketch came from Stuck! Sketches and the inspiration from Scrapbookers Anonymous, both fabulous sites in their own right!

Scrapbookers Anonymouse wanted us to use mist, paint, or ink and masking...  well, I used all three mediums.  The background was first painted with copper stars, but when I put my pic on, the stars were to overpowering.  Next, I misted a template on top of those (which you can't really pick up in the photo).  That just wasn't enough, so I then used black ink to dull the stars.  The result...

Oh, and I just noticed my Nikon strap is hanging in 2 of my pics.  Oops...  it's been one of those days!

Remember our Day at Sea

Wow!  I need to pat myself on the back.  Two pages in just as many days.  Look out, I'm on a roll now!

The inspiration this time came from White With 1 and Bird is the Word.  This may be against the rules for WW1, but I had to add just a splash of color with the turquoise embellie.  It was too perfect not to put on there and I'm currently on a kick for using up old stuff.

Joyful Memories

Wow, it's been a while since I've posted anything here.  I needed a much deserved break.  I haven't really scrapped since early November.  I went on a wonderful weekend with a couple girlfriends and managed quite a few pages.  When time allows, I will photograph and post them.

This page was inspired by Sketch #191 from Creative Scrappers as well as color and title inspiration from 123 Challenge.

I was surprised at how quickly this page came together.  I guess scrapbooking is a lot like riding a bike, you just never forget.
