High Energy - CMS # 72

I seemed to have lost a day...

This was supposed to posted yesterday, but sometimes life gets in the way.

These were some great colors to work with at Color Me Scrappy.  Very fall-ish and muted, which is right up my alley.

Have fun with it!

Thanks for stopping in!

Dreams Come True - CMS #71

Check out these great Fall colors from Color Me Scrappy!  And combined with the sketch from Stuck? Sketches...  Let the creative juices flow!

Here is what I came up with...

We purchased a cabin earlier this year and it's a dream.  My husband can ride around on his tractor and make trails all day throughout our 80 acres!  He loves it!

I used my silhouette to cut out the circle with the wood grain.  I've been using it more and more and loving it!

Share A Cup - Color Me Scrappy #70

My favorite time of the year.  It's hot chocolate season!!

Granted, I made this cup just for this picture, but when I asked my son if he wanted cocoa, he came running!  Apparently, it's his favorite time of the year too!

These color this month at Color Me Scrappy are scrumptious!  So warm and inviting!  Be sure to take some time, since the kiddos are back in school, and join in on the fun!

I've been searching and searching for a "cup ring" stamp, but have not been successful.  I guess paint on the bottom of my Mike's Hard Lemonade bottle works sufficiently enough!

;-)

I've had this big ole flower FOREVER.  Using up my stash!

Now, fix yourself a cup of cocoa and join in on the challenge!

Cool - CMS #69

I love these colors this time around at Color Me Scrappy.  Maybe because they are deep.  I struggle with pastels, so this is a nice change.

My page doesn't necessarily go along with the "Back to School" theme, but the colors are there...

We were at Epcot here in China.  I wanted to capture the tile work that existed on the walls and ceiling, but of course, my camera wouldn't allow for such an angle.  So, I took 2 separate pictures and pieced them together.

XOXOXO - Color Me Scrappy

Excuse me, but if someone could please help me find my mojo, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm not sure if it's summer or because we didn't travel anywhere exciting...  We've made multiple trips to the cabin, but that will be a before and after type album when we finally finish it.

You should check out the color challenge at Color Me Scrappy.

These colors are great, but to be honest, it was the picture that drew me in!  Ha!  A yummy margarita!  Maybe that will help with my lack of mojo!

CMS also has a great prize that is up for grabs this month. Definatley worth it!

A $50 GC from

You heard me right, so stop over and get your scrappy on!

Wishes & Dreams - CMS # 64

Check out the latest challenge at Color Me Scrappy.  The twist this time around is to use a floral patterned paper.  Mine is a bit on the minimal side...

This color combo really reminded me of fall, but since it's June here in Michigan, I decided to go a different route.

This was in Toronto last summer.  Sawyer has a dream to see The Great Wall of China.  As we were walking the streets of Toronto, we came across this shop.

Needless to say, we got a bit of a laugh!

Fabulous Summer - CMS #63

It's June 1 already, which means that it is time for a new challenge at Color Me Scrappy.  As much as I love these colors, I struggle with pink.  I love these colors because they remind me of the carefree summer days that are ahead for my boys and I.  We love summer and have many adventures during summer break.  I struggle with pink because, well, I have 2 boys and struggle to find a use for it.

Here are the colors...

Aren't they just gorgeous!  Now, to overcome my pink dilemma, I went with the minimalist approach and concentrated on the other colors in the palette.

Last summer, we went to Niagara Falls.  It's funny that this picture even came out because my lens was wet with the mist from the falls.

In addition to the colors, there is another twist added in.  For this challenge, you must use at least 3 manufacturers.

I used...  Heidi Swapp: "fabulous", DCWV: pp and pink frame, Core'dinations: solid cardstock, Basic Grey: chipboard photo frames, Little Yellow Bicycle: butterflies, MME: chevrons, cloud, buttons, banner.

Niagara To Do - CMS # 62

Hi everyone!  I'm here to post about the latest challenge for Color Me Scrappy.

I really love the muted tones in this color palette.  I could see myself using these in my home.

There is a great prize up for grabs for the month of May.  Make sure to check out the blog to find out the details!  Also, the first challenge for May is still up and running.  You have until the end of the month to finish both challenges.  It's been raining here, so I've utilized a lot of that time to scrap since I can't get outside.  Maybe you should do the same!

Here is my take on the colors.  The page is really an overall summary of everything we did in Niagara.

US Falls - CMS #61

Well hello everyone.  Today, I'm featuring a new challenge at Color Me Scrappy.

This color palette was extremely difficult for me.  I struggle with any shade of purple and to be honest, I avoid it like the plaque.  But, since I am on the DT for CMS, I'm doing this page.

My supply of pinks and purples is very limited since I have 2 boys and I'm really not that much of a girlie girl.  In fact, I'm somewhat of a tomboy and a DIYer.

Either way, here is the latest from my scrappy space...

And a couple detail shots...

Skybox - CMS Challenge #60

Hello everyone.  I know that a lot of you are just coming back or just leaving for Spring Break.  Have fun and travel safe.

We had our Spring Break last week, but didn't travel anywhere.  But, that doesn't mean I wasn't busy.  The weather is really starting to warm up nicely and we've been outside enjoying it.  There were a couple of days there were I only saw my boys for meal time.  They were loving it!

This next challenge for Color Me Scrappy is a pleasant surprise.  It is Spring here, but I know that there are followers living in places around the world that are going into fall.  I think this color palette can work well for either of those seasons, and maybe even a beach layout.

Hope you have fun with it!

Here is my take on it...

Power House - Challenge #58

This challenge at CMS was so much fun.  I got to do a step by step process with this page.  It was my first one and I really enjoyed myself.  Make sure you check out the post to see the details of how I made this page...

Here is the result and some close up shots.

The picture was taken below Niagara Falls.  From the best of my knowledge, this deserted building used to be a power plant.

I've gotten away from journalling for a while and I really miss seeing it on those pages.  My new goal is to journal on every page.

Burr - CMS #56

Well, it's that time again.  A challenge from Color Me Scrappy!

Take a look at these beautiful colors.

Since it is the month of February and Valentines Day was just on Friday, I should have done a lovey, dovey type of page, right?

Well,

NO

I went the complete opposite direction.  We had an ice storm here in Michigan and thought the grays and blues were perfect for an ice shot!  Thankfully, the temperatures have warmed up a bit, but when I took this shot, I was just a few feet from my front door.  I wasn't adventurous enough to really step out on the ice...

I started with the gray BG, but sanded the top of the design off so that it would pop a bit more.

The title says it all.

I added some layers of pink... I've been liking pink lately, which is so not me.

Do you have a go to color?

Cheers,
Lisa
