Perfect, please don't Change

This page was designed for the June 123 Challenge and using a sketch from Sketches in Thyme #81.

For the 123 Challenge, we had to use:
  • blue - check
  • "change" - check
  • washi tape - check
and for the sketch:

I'm in love with this LO.  I'm totally please with the way that it turned out.  I also got to use up some of my older supplies.  I love it when that happens!

Thanks for stopping by!

Cruisin'

Oh, how I love this page!!!  The sketch was the June 15th sketch from Stuck Sketches.

I'm so into yellow right now and really, twist my arm to use yellow and polka dots at the same time.  This page came together very quickly.  Sometimes, you just stare at stuff and nothing wants to go together right, but then on other days, it just falls into place.  Does that happen to others too or is it just me?

I'm sad to say that this photo was from our vacation in 2009.  Will I ever get caught up?  Probably not!

New Kids

This ended up being one of my favorite LOs of the night.  I would never think to put turquoise, red, and yellow together, but it really worked well.

I used a sketch from The Scrappiest again on this one..  # 147.  Really some great ideas on her blog.

In addition to the sketch, the supplies came from the June kit from Peace, Love, & Scrapbooking.  I love getting these kits in the mail every month.  It's like Christmas every month and the inspiration that comes out of each bag of goodies is fabulous!

Thanks for stopping and please leave some love!

Desert Greenery

My good friend Pam came over to scrap in my new house!  I don't know if it was my new brightly painted scrapbook room or just good company, but we kicked butt that past Saturday.  I think we managed about 10 solid hours of scrapbooking (minus a few interruptions by the kiddos) and we managed about 8 or 9 pages.  Not bad in my opinion.

This one, I had high hopes for, but I'm really not happy with the way it turned out.  I wanted a monochromatic page, which I got that, but just not so happy with the result.  I went back and added the painted X's, and I think that made it worse...

Anyway...

I used sketch 146 from The Scrappiest for this one.

Friend - CMS #6

I made it back online just in time to update my blog with the new challenge at Color Me Scrappy.

Come on over and check out this great color combination.  I had so much fun creating this one!  I don't use pink very often, (especially when it is combined with red) but when I do, I really enjoy it.

Here is the color combination:

I hope you come over and join in the fun!

HOO is having fun?

Ok, this is going to be my last post before I have to be "unplugged".  I'm estimating about 2 weeks of no internet access, that it, unless I can sneak off to Starbucks.  My biggest fear of being offline is loosing my mojo.  I've been scrapping a lot lately and have really hammered through a lot of pages.  I was really on a roll.

This page was done for Color Me Scrappy.  Boy 'o boy, I thought I would struggle with this.  I mean, I LOVE brown, but all brown?  This page just flew together with ease.  Everything I pulled out of my stash just seemed to fit so well, so I layered and then layered some more.

And those little paper clips with ribbon...  I saw them at Hobby Lobby...  $5.00 for 8.  Are you kidding me?  No way was I going to pay that.  I'm a bargain hunter.  After taking a closer look, I thought, "I can make those."  So, that is exactly what I did.  The little piece of ribbons are tied like a man's tie to give me a nice little knot.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I've given you a little inspiration to try the challenge yourself.
